Interview Magazine: 20 Most Beautiful People of the Decade

Ashley and Rob have made Interview Magazine's list of twenty most beautiful people of the decade!
ASHLEY GREENE - With five films scheduled to come out in the next year, it's safe to say that Ashley Greene is riding the momentum from the absurd Twilight wave. The young vampire with the psychic abilities—she also has the power to make girls literally break down in tears in public. But how far into her own future can she see? From where we're standing, the near-future, at least, looks promising.

ASHLEY GREENE: "I grew up in a house that would be perfect to set a horror movie in. It was out in the country, right on the water. I'm glad I never got to see scary movies when I was young. Otherwise I would have imagined things coming out of the lake.

ROBERT PATTINSON - A bit of Brando, a twinge of Dean, the Twilight star possesses that slightly strange alien quality that turns brooding good looks into the iconic. He has just enough edge to make teens and tabloids go into "crazed hunter" mode—have you seen Robsessed?—but also a disarming, slightly crippling self-awareness. It's early yet for Pattinson, but we're eagerly awaiting part two of his entertaining saga.

On life before Twilight:"We spent the better part of a year just getting drunk every night... "I don't know if that counts as ‘struggling.'"

Twilight Scene in the Top 25 Movie Moments of the Decade

Moviefone has listed the car accident scene where Edward saves Bella in the top twenty-five movie scenes of the decade.

See the full list here.

I love that this scene is included in the list...although I would have to argue that the First Kiss from Twilight should also be included. Twilight deserves at least two spots on this list right?

Ten New Moon Easter Eggs

Summit has relesed ten "Easter Eggs" from The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Five were released through the Twilight Tracker App, and five were released though Entertainemnt Weekly.

From the "Twilight Tracker" app:

- On Bella's copy of Romeo & Juliet, a picture from Volterra covered the book.
- The camera drop during Paul and Jacob's in-transformation tussle was intentional to recreate the look of an actual animal knocking over the camera.
- In front of Emily's house, there was a drum actually given to the production crew -by a member of the Quileute Nation.
- The opening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon with the moon phasing backwards was also intentional to reflect accuracy in phasing.
- Aro says "Fore ... ne il vostro l'uno o altro" to Bella in the Volturi lair, meaning "Perhaps ... nor yours either" (regarding whether he understands Edward's soul).

From Entertainment Weekly:

- There were three new placements of wolves in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. There was one in Twilight in Bella's room, and the three are in Carlisle's bowl, on Jacob's tee-shirt when he talks to Bella in the parking lot, and on the dream-catcher.
- The song being played in the Italy elevator scene is Die Fledermaus by Strauss. This translates to "The Bat."
- Bella carries a golden compass on her backpack into the meadow . . . baggage?
- To make Edward move quickly before the birthday kiss at Bella's house, a double was used as Edward in the driver's seat, but Robert Pattinson waited alongside the camera.
- "Kwop kilawtley" is what Jacob said to Bella in the kitchen.

Thanks TwiExaminer

Rob & Kristen listed as "People Who Mattered" in 2009

Rob and Kristen were named as "People Who Mattered" in Time Magazine's Person of the Year!
"It's been at least a decade since we had a pair of authentic, shriek-inducing, catch-me-when-I-faint teen idols on our hands. But suddenly, OMG, they're back. What makes the stars of the Twilight series so idolizable? It's partly that ineffable combination of dirtiness and innocence: they're sexy, but they're not sexual. They're also not generically beautiful. God knows they're hot enough, but they look interesting too. Intelligent. Slightly askew. You don't just want to look at them or sleep with them; you want to talk to them. Like the vampire Pattinson plays onscreen, you can see that once upon a time they were merely human, just like us."

Chris Weitzs' photos of Montepulciano

Beautiful shots from the 'clock tower' scene...enjoy!

From his own personal photo book, director Chris Weitz presents a very special inside look for fans into one of the key scenes from THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. The images below were taken during Chris' first scouting trip to Italy, before Montepulciano was selected for the shoot. Enjoy!

Montepulciano Set

We will be using the town of Montepulciano to serve as Volterra. We scouted about ten Italian hilltowns, and Montepulciano offered the best combination of beauty, age, change in height (you can see rolling fields below from the alleys running up to the main square, etc.) and symmetry that satisfied my obsessive qualities. Why not finish off this roundup with a little Italian scenery:

clockTower

This is the clock tower of the main square of Montepulciano. Directly underneath is where Edward intends to reveal himself to the crowd (I prefer that to an alley way – that would be too blah and ordinary). The cafe on the very right of the shot was THE hangout for Twi-fans who went to Montepulciano -- people would sit up there and order coffees for the whole day to get a close look at filming!

This is what Bella sees as she finishes her run upwards and arrives at the square:

alley

In other words, she sort of ascends through a series of alley ways and streets to the square itself. Here is a shot from the top of the clock tower itself, showing the square from above which, like the throng of visitors to the festival, also happens to be red –

Aerial Shot

To the upper right, you can see the corner that Bella turns as per the previous photo; and past that, green hills below…

"IMAX Corporation and Summit Entertainment announced today that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the studio’s Twilight franchise, will be released to IMAX® theatres simultaneously with the film’s launch on June 30, 2010. Breaking Dawn Plagarism Lawsuit Dismissed

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the plagarism lawsuit against Stephenie Meyer has been dismissed.

"A judge of the United States District Court has dismissed author Jordan Scott's claim that Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer plagiarized small portions of her fourth book, Breaking Dawn, from Scott's vampire novel The Nocturne. In a statement, Meyer's publisher, Hachette Book Group, says, "In his ruling, [Judge Otis D. Wright II] stated that the two works have little in common and that the 'characters in the two works are vastly different.'

The decision admonishes Scott for 'the deceptive presentation of the alleged similarities' and notes that she 'has twice manipulated aspects of the subject works in order to create the appearance of similarity.' While an attempt to ride on someone else's success may not be surprising, it is encouraging that the courts and the public are not so easily misled. This judgment confirms what we have known all along — Breaking Dawn is a wholly original work by Stephenie Meyer and this was a frivolous lawsuit brought for the purposes of publicizing the plaintiff's personal publishing aspirations. Hachette Book Group and Stephenie Meyer are pleased to be able to put this case behind us." "
